Selling
the software is very easy. Put up a personal recommendation
with a text link, or simply use one or more of the banners we've
made for you on your website. Visitors will see what PaqRat
does and will click on the link to go read more about it.
You can also link directly to the Installation file, so visitors
will immediately download the software instead of reading more
about it first--it's entirely up to you.
The
main thing to remember is that you have credibility with your
visitors. If you have a "What's New" section or
some other place like that, write a little note about PaqRat for
your visitors and they will act on what you say.
Also,
remember that repetition helps. If you have multiple gallery
pages, or even individual pages for each image, put a link to
PaqRat on each one. The more you get it in front of your
visitors, the more likely they are to read about it.
Remember
that in addition to your own sales of PaqRat, you will make $4.00
for every sale one of your affiliates makes. That is almost
as much as you make from your own sales! If you don't think
it's worth the trouble, don't do it. But if you agree that
getting some affiliates underneath you could really pay off, it's
worth 5 minutes to add a section to your website to explain to
other webmasters how they can make money with PaqRat.
Another
great way to sign up affiliates under you is to email the
webmasters that you are friends with. These might be the
other webmasters that are in webrings with you, exchanged links
with, shared thumbnail links with, or just ones you have met over
time. Let them know about PaqRat and the rest will take care
of itself.
If
you don't know many webmasters, it is also easily worth spending
an afternoon emailing the designers of the websites you always
visit. Make sure your email includes your link to the
newpartner.asp page with your id in it so you get credit for it.
We
are still waiting for some enterprising soul to take the bull by
the horns and aggressively sign up tons of affiliates. Let's
see who the first person is to have more than 50 child
affiliates...
PaqRat
and Insanely Great Things prohibit use of unsolicited mass email,
spam, off-topic newsgroup posts or other "junk mail"
ways of recruiting new affiliates. If we receive
corroborated reports of any affiliate doing these, their account
will be terminated and their balance forfeited.
